Counter Drone System
MATC is proud to be an agent for Becker-Aero Aeronautical Technologies for their Counter Drone System (CDS). Drones are a growing threat to airports, government facilities, military installations, power plants, stadiums and other infrastructure. Inexpensive and easy to manufacture, drones are easy to operate and difficult to detect but can cause an immense loss in revenue to airports and potentially loss of life if left undetected.
As soon as it is turned on the Counter Drone System (CDS) recognizes drones and their remote controllers through the RF signals they use to communicate, reliably determining their direction and location and alerts authorized users of approaching drones well in advance, allowing time to protect installations as needed. The CDS system monitors the areas around the protected installations to detect and address possible threats. The CDS system gathers real-time data from sensor inputs, determines contacts, assesses their threat levels, predicts their future path, and suggests possible countermeasures.
A radar option augments and optimizes the CDS system for detection of small drones which can carry video cameras, wireless communication systems, narcotics, explosives, and other dangerous payloads. Further options for bi-spectral camera units enable users to see detected drones at reasonably sufficient distances to identify potentially dangerous modifications (i.e. payload containers, etc.) and the CDS systems can also integrate automated jammer systems that effectively prevent drones from receiving RF signals, thus forcing them into fail-safe modes.
